KARACHI, May 29: A delegation of Karachi-based Baloch Rights Council called on Nawabzada Jamil Bugti, son of the slain Baloch leader Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti and discussed with him the situation of the troubled province.
Describing the situation in Balochistan as horrible, Mr Bugti said that military operation had been extended to other parts of the province that had further aggravated the situation.
He claimed that one side air bombing had been intensified and at the same time a large number of innocent people had been picked up by law enforcement agencies.
Mr Bugti also charged that the government had built cantonments in various places to colonise the province and to continue the loot and plunder.
He made an impassioned appeal to all Baloch organisations to get united on a signal platform and join the ongoing struggle of national emancipation. Mr Bugti also lauded the role of the Balochs in Karachi in the struggle for national rights and expressed the hope they would continue to support the struggle of people of Balochistan for national autonomy. The Balochs will in no way surrender their rights, he added.
