KARACHI: CS for early completion of windmill project

KARACHI, May 29: Sindh Chief Secretary Shakeel Durrani has asked relevant departments to ensure coordinated efforts to complete a windmill project and other assignments of power generation being carried out by the Alternative Energy Development Board.

He expressed these views while talking to the AEDB team, headed by its chairman Air Marshal (retd) Shahid Hamid, who called on him at his office on Tuesday morning.

The AEDB team elaborated the plan of power generation schemes at Jhampir in Thatta district, demanding due assistance from the government of Sindh.

The chief secretary welcomed the AEDB programme and pledged to do the needful in accordance with the rules, regulations and policy of the government and emphasised upon the officers concerned to chalk out a plan and extend cooperation to this effect.

Land Utilization (Board of Revenue) Secretary Aftab Ahmed Memon assured the team that the assigned task would be undertaken expeditiously in accordance with the rules.

Two focal persons were also nominated by the AEDB and Board of Revenue to update the paperwork.—PPI
