KARACHI, May 29: Seven ships carrying containers, steel and steel coils are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where six ships, Golden Lion to unload coal, Amasis, Iran Tabatabaei to unload and load containers, Olympic Melody, to offload fertiliser, Spring Hummer to unload and load general cargo and Oriental Rose, an oil tanker were berthed.

Sailing was also active as half a dozen vessels departed, which included Hayley Nadhi, Viking Merlin, Gallant Wave, Amasis, Swat, and Split.

Eight ships, Oriental Rose, Le Jin, Iran Tabatabaei, Corin Thaikos, Iron Butterfly, Spring Hummer, Al-Abdulla and APL Shenzhen are due to depart on Wednesday.A total tonnage of 85,912 tons comprising 30,414 tons of export cargo and 55,498 tons of import tonnage was handled on Tuesday.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Hyundai Stride, Oel Express, Kota Gontong, Y.M. Star and Soon Fu with containers, Grotko Oldendorff, and Agnes Soan with steel and steel coils.
