Journalist passes away


HYDERABAD, May 28: Noted journalist A. G. Chandio died of cardiac arrest here on Monday. He was 42. He leaves behind wife, two brothers and five sisters.

Mr Chandio, who was also chairman of the Indus Valley Theatre, suffered a massive heart attack late on Sunday night when he was attending a ceremony to award Hyderabad Press Club life-membership to known story writer Amar Jaleel. He was taken to a hospital where he died on Monday.

He was laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard in Tando Yusuf after afternoon prayers.

At a condolence meeting at the Hyderabad Press Club, presided over by its president Shahid Shiakh, media persons expressed sorrow over the sudden demise of Mr Chandio.—APP
