KARACHI, May 28: Adviser to Sindh Chief Minister Malik Imamuddin Shaukeen has urged people belonging to all spheres of life including political parties to play their constructive role to maintain law and order, unity and brotherly environment in Karachi.

In a statement issued here on Monday, he noted that Karachi always remained a peaceful city and it was responsibility of every individual to maintain its peace.

“Karachi is economic engine of country, therefore, we all should strive for its socioeconomic progress and prosperity,” he said.

He maintained that Pakistan Muslim League-Functional believed in unity, brotherhood and politics of progress and development of province. He said they always gave priority to progress and stability in the country.

He observed that the government was keen for raising quality of life of people across the country in general, while several development projects for provision of basic amenities like electricity, water, health and education were underway in Sindh.

The adviser alleged some miscreants were trying to derail socioeconomic, industrial and trade activities. He claimed that educated and patriotic people of the city would foil conspiracies of such elements. They would also face failure in their nefarious designs in future, he added.

Mr Shauqeen reiterated the resolve that the present government would continue its efforts for boosting trade, industrial and socio-economic uplift in Sindh and maintain law and order in Karachi.—PPI
