KARACHI, May 28: Two ships to load and offload containers and edible oil were accommodated berths at QICT and MPT during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Monday.

Meanwhile, four more ships carrying containers, chemicals, edible oil and diesel oil also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Eight ships, Lucieng, America, Capt. Arkritas, Noor-e-Mustafa, Cader Galaxy, Sea Sky, Al-Kortoubi and Oinoussian Lion, were busy in loading and unloading containers, wheat, edible oil, furnace oil, chemicals and coal.

A cargo volume of 94,402 tons comprising 76,577 tons of import and 17,825 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailings were active as America, Capt Arkritas, Noor-e-Mustafa, Sea Sky and Sargodha left the port.
