NAUSHAHRO FEROZE: ‘Police hiding arrest’

By Our Correspondent

NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, May 27: Notables of Korai community on Sunday accused the Moro police of arresting three men, implicating them in false cases and not disclosing the arrest of one of them.

Raza Mohammad, Ahmed Khan, Ali Akbar and Shaman Korai told journalists in Moro that police raided their houses, beat up women, snatched cash and gold ornaments and arrested Zakaria, Niaz and Abdul Majeed Korai.

Later, police implicated them in false cases but they had not disclosed the arrest of Abdul Majeed, they alleged.

They appealed to higher police authorities to intervene and order an impartial inquiry into the matter.

When contacted, Moro SHO Lal Bux Daher said that police had arrested Zakaria and Niaz only and recovered 2300 grams charas from their possession.
