NAWABSHAH: Growers’ protest

NAWABSHAH, May 26: Dozens of growers whose lands lie at the tail-end of Khair Shah minor of Dad irrigation division observed a token hunger strike outside the press club in protest against acute shortage of water on Saturday.

The protesters said that thousands of acres of their land had been rendered barren due to non supply of water.

They said that they had made several complaints to the concerned executive engineer and other officials but they had not done anything so far.
