KARACHI, May 23: Consul-General of Switzerland Martin Bienz has said that most of Swiss companies operating in Pakistan have planned to make new investment to further expand their business activities.
He was talking to chairman and members of SITE Association of Industry Imran Shaukat on his first visit to association's office.
Bienz pointed out that the purpose of his visit was to strengthen Pakistan-Swiss trade ties and help Pakistani manufacturers to market their products in Swiss market which is not familiar with “made in Pakistan” items.
He, however, expressed satisfaction over reports that in recent months various new Swiss companies have expanded their businesses in Pakistan in the areas of logistics, airport ground services, timber and sales and marketing of assembly material.
Earlier, SITE association chairman Imran Shaukat welcoming Swiss diplomat said trade relations between the two countries have progressed well. Today, prestigious Swiss firms are prominent players in Pakistan.
