ABBOTTABAD, May 22: Top seed Amir Atlas and second seed Mansoor Zaman have qualified for the final of the PSF President International squash tournament by winning their respective semi-finals at the Jansher Khan Squash Complex on Tuesday.

The final will be played on Wednesday.

Mansoor Zaman defeated Yasir Butt 3-1 in the first semi-final while Amir Atlas outclassed Farhan Mehboob 3-0 in the other semi-final.

The clash between Mansoor Zaman and Yasir Butt was evenly contested in which both the players remained in the court for almost 54 minutes.

his long steps never missed forceful forehand and backhand shots.

Mansoor started the game with confidence and won the first set 11-6.

In the second set, Mansoor was little slow to respond to sizzling shots of Yasir which the latter won 11-7 and thus levelled the game 1-1.

Yasir started the third set in similar fashion and was leading 10-9 at one point. However, Mansoor snatched the game 12-10.

The fourth set was a real test of supremacy and at scores of 6-6, 7-7, 8-8 it was looking anybody's game but Mansoor emerged victorious with score of 11-7.

Amir Atlas was too good against Farhan Mehboob and defeated him in straight sets.

Amir, using his backhand shots and deadly drops, won the first set 12-10.

In the second set, Amir Atlas with his deep lobs and cross court shots forced his rival to move all over the court and won it 11-2.

In the third set, Farhan tried to show some resistance and levelled the scores at 8-8, 9-9 and 10-10 but two unforeseen errors cost him the set which Amir won 12-10.
