KARACHI, May 22: A dozen ships carrying containers and to load rice and cement are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, Iran Hesabi, Gulf Pride, Oel Victory to unload and load containers and Lalazar to offload crude oil were berthed.

Four ships, Minos, Cosco Lian Yun and Gang, Kama Bhum and Jo Oak departed on Tuesday, while Iran Hesabi, Gulf Bridge, Lalazar and Oel Victory are due to sail out on Wednesday.

A total tonnage of 75,471 tons comprising 21,554 tons comprising 21,554 tons of export cargo including 6,393 tons of cement and 53,917 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Taylor to load 18,000 tons of naphtha, Johar with crude oil, Gemini with 7,000 tons of palm oil, Hyundai Future, Harmony, Comorin Pride and Y.M.Sun with containers, Stella to load 1,750 tons of rice, Aslan Queen, to load 20,000 tons of cement, Orient and Thor Falcon with general cargo.
