LAHORE, May 21: Four robbers looted the house of an assistant to a provincial minister in Angoori Scheme, Mughalpura, here on Monday. The robbers entered the house of Mustansar, assistant to the provincial labour minister, held family members at gunpoint and escaped after collecting cash, jewellery, cell phones and valuables worth Rs800,000.

In the same area, two armed men took away cash, a cell phone and valuables from the shop of Imran.

Two gun-toting men barged into a confectionary at Bagrian Chowk in Green Town and managed their escape with cash and a cell phone. Two motorcyclists stopped Suleman in Kot Lakhpat and deprived him of cash and a cell phone.

Iqbal Qasim was robbed of Rs13,000 and a cell phone in Shalimar and Khalid of Rs30,000 and a cell phone in Iqbal Town.

A van was taken away by two robbers from Factory Area while a motorcycle was snatched by as many armed men in Mughalpura.
