KARACHI, May 18: The court of Judicial Magistrate East Ganhwar Khan Gadehi on Friday remanded four suspected terrorists in a three day judicial custody. It was said that the four persons identified as Obaid, Yousuf, Faisal and Wasif were arrested from a locality in Lahore and handed over to Karachi’s CID.

They are stated to be affiliated with the militant group of Qari Zafar, believed to be the mastermind of the US consulate car bombing in which a US official and three others lost their lives.

CONVICTED: The court of Additional District and Sessions Judge South Munawar Sultana on Friday awarded three years rigorous imprisonment to one Khurram for his involvement in street crimes. He was arrested on February 3, 2005 in the jurisdiction of Garden Police Station.

One of his accomplices Imran was given the benefit of doubt, while the third member of the gang Farrukh, still at large, was declared a proclaimed offender.
