Port Qasim

KARACHI, May 18: Four ships to load and offload containers, wheat and furnace oil were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Friday. Meanwhile, another container ship also arrived at the outer anchorage. Berth occupancy stood at 70 per cent as seven ships, Humarabi, Saudi Abha, Addu Star, Tarpon Santiago, Sargodah, Sea Sky and New Leader, were busy in loading and unloading containers, wheat, rice, furnace oil and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 65,940 tons comprising 49,300 tons of import and 16,640 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailings were brisk as Tsubaki, Panama, Hammurabi, Saudi Abha, Afamia and New Leader left the port.
