Man run over by train

ISLAMABAD, May 17: A man standing by the railway track was killed when he was hit by passenger train here on Thursday, police said. Police said Saud, 45, a resident of Dhamial was hit by train when he came in the range of the train.

Shortly after the incident police shifted the body to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) for legal process.

ROBBERS GANG BUSTED: The local police claimed to have arrested four members of inter-provincial robbers gang and recovered looted valuables and weapons.

The police said that the accused were residents of Rawalpindi and involved in various robbery incidents took place in the twin cities.

The police recovered looted valuables and gold ornaments, worth thousands of rupees, two motorcycles and mobile phones from their possession which they snatched from the jurisdiction of Industrial Area, Sabzi Mandi, Waris Khan, police stations at gunpoint.

The police also recovered three 30-bore pistols from their possession.
