Woman shot dead

RAWALPINDI, May 17: A woman was reportedly shot dead by robbers in the airport police area here on Thursday. According to police, Naseer Ahmed, an estate agent, lodged a complaint with the airport police that he along with his wife Bushara Bibi was present at home in Dhoke Gungal when three unidentified robbers took them at gunpoint.

They killed Mrs Bibi when she tried to hide in a room. The armed men escaped from the scene.

MAN DIES: Aashiq Hussain, a resident of Muzaffarabad, was killed after being run over by a vehicle at Pirwadhai.

Kaneez Fatima lodged a complaint with the police that she along with her husband and children were waiting for a bus when the accident happened. The accused driver escaped from the scene.

BURN INJURIES: Two children sustained burn injuries in the Waris Khan area.

According to police, 15-month-old Sakina bibi and another minor Yasir Mohammad were playing in their house when they fell on a burning stove. They were shifted to the hospital where they were said to be in stable conditions.
