3 Thai Muslims killed


YALA (Thailand) May 17: Suspected separatist rebels have shot dead three Muslims in separate attacks in southern Thailand, police said on Thursday. A 43-year-old villager, who police said was a government informant, was shot dead by two militants early on Thursday at a tea shop in Songkhla province.

Late Wednesday, a 50-year-old man was shot dead in Yala province as he returned from evening prayers.—AFP
