Landmine injures security employee

QUETTA, May 16: A security force personnel was seriously injured when he stepped on a landmine near the Nal checkpost in Kahan tehsil while a powerful blast took place near the residence of the district Nazim of Zhob on Wednesday.

Official sources identified the security man as Noor Jamal. He was immediately taken to Sibi for treatment.

About the Zhob blast, police sources said that a locally-made explosive device had been planted near the house of the district nazim who was not in the house when the device went off. The Nazim, Maulvi Habibur Rehman, belongs to JUI(F).

The windowpanes of the house and adjoining houses were shattered.

ARMS SEIZED: Personnel of the Chagai militia, a wing of the Frontier Corps, seized a huge quantity of arms and ammunition from the Manjro Chal nullah, near the Pak-Afghan border, on Wednesday.
