Law and order situation discussed

PESHAWAR, May 16: A meeting has reviewed the progress made so far into the investigation of the Peshawar blast on May 15.

The NWFP Acting Governor Mr Justice Tariq Pervez Khan chaired the meeting on Wednesday at the Governor’s House.

Justice Tariq was told that the investigation had been initiated and no effort was being spared to nab the culprits involved in the incident. He appreciated the police efforts and asked them to investigate the incident from every angle.

The meeting was also attended by IGP Sharif Virk and the AIG Investigations Fiaz Toru.

HOSPITAL VISIT: Acting governor visited the Lady Reading hospital to inquire after the health of bomb blast victims.

Justice Tariq was told that 20 people injured in the blast were being treated at the hospital. Chief Executive of the hospital Prof Dr Abdul Samad and other doctors also accompanied the acting governor, a handout said.
