‘Main accused’ in murder of writer nabbed

By Our Correspondent

LARKANA, May 16: Police nabbed a man they claimed was the main accused in the case of murder of renowned Sindhi storywriter and playwright Malik Aghani, on late Tuesday night after an encounter near the old bridge of Gharwah.

Mahota police said that a police party retaliated after it came under fire during patrolling and managed to get hold of Altaf Aghani while his accomplices Oshaque Aghani, Ahmed Chandio, Deeno Zangijo and Imtiaz Aghani escaped.

Altaf Aghani was nominated in the murder case of Malik Aghani, who was killed at a guava orchard near his village five years ago.
