‘Karachi killings planned in Islamabad’

Bureau Report

HYDERABAD, May 15: The Awami Tehrik chief, Rasool Bux Palijo, has said that the speech of President Musharraf in Islamabad on May 12, was an ample proof that planning about the massacre of innocent people in Karachi was taken in Islamabad.

He was speaking at a reception hosted in honour of the party workers, who were arrested on May 13 during protest and released from the Hyderabad central jail on Tuesday.

He said the present rulers of Sindh were involved in a large number of cases of terrorism, murders, kidnappings and arson.

He said Sindhi people were living in abject poverty due to unemployment and usurpation of their resources, including land and they were being murdered due to lawlessness.

He said in fact the entire reign of Pervez Musharraf was based on lawlessness and breach of promises.

Mr Palijo said that a complete strike throughout the country on Monday was in fact a referendum against the rulers and terrorists.

He said time has come for all the peace-loving people to unite on one platform against the terrorists.

NIMAZ-I-JANAZA: PPP activist held a ghaibana nimaz-e-Janaza in Matiari for the innocent people, who were gunned down in Karachi on Saturday.
