KARACHI, May 15: Five ships carrying containers and to load cement and molasses are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where six ships were berthed. They are: Dimitis, Norasia Alps, Sinar Bandung, to unload and load containers, Bolan, T.T.Thunder to unload and load general cargo and Addarraq, an oil tanker.

Seven vessels, including Aka Bhum, Stolt Rindo, Shalamar, Lalazar, Overseas Primar and T.T.Thunder departed on Tuesday, while Addarraq, Can Bey, Sinar Banding, Norisia, Jade Trader, Xiang Cheng, and Oel Express are due to sail out on Wednesday.

A total volume of 0.112m tons comprising 38,941 tons of export cargo, including 1,657 tons of rice and 2,602 tons of cement and 73,139 tons of import tonnage was handled on Tuesday.

The following ships are due on Wednesday; Jo Oak to load 18,000 tons of cement, Red Sea Spirit, to load 6,500 tons of cement Y.M.Faha, Hyundai Advance and Y.M.Energy, with containers.
