LAHORE, May 14: Farzan Rasheed emerged as new junior champion defeating Shoaib Hassan in straight games in all Punjab final at the National junior squash championship at the Punjab Sports Complex on Monday.

Farzan laboured for only 42 minutes on the court to show his mettle and to complete the win 9-4, 9-1,9-4.

He exhibited fine court coverage and with his powerful forehand strokes gave no room to his opponent to settle down throughout the final.

Farzan dropped just four points to win the first game. He was more aggressive in the second game, conceding only one to make it 2-0 before wrapping up the final by maintaining excellent play in the third game, too.
