DADU: Clerks protest against lawlessness

By Our Correspondent

DADU, May 12: A large number of clerks employed in different government departments staged a rally and a demonstration on Saturday in protest against growing lawlessness in the city.

Meeral Bhurgri, coordinator of the Dadu chapter of the All-Pakistan Clerks Association, said that armed dacoits injured and robbed a clerk of the district officer education when he was coming to the city from Johi.

He said that in another incident a few days ago some outlaws raided the house of Abdul Hakeem Soho, accountant at EDO education office Dadu and deprived the family of cash and gold ornaments.

Latter, the TPO of Dadu Nabi Bux Channa assured the protesters that police would do their best to arrest the criminals and persuaded them to end their protest.

SUICIDE: Forty-five-year old Aamnat, wife of Ismail Leghari, committed suicide by consuming pesticide reportedly over some domestic problems in the Wapda Colony late on Friday night.
