By Our Staff Reporter

ISLAMABAD, May 11: Supreme Court Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry will leave for Karachi by a PIA flight (PK-301) on Saturday, Dawn has learnt.

The source said three seats have been reserved in a PIA flight for May 12, one for Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry, the other for Zamurad Khan advocate and the third for Yousuf Talpur.

The PIA flight is scheduled to take off from Islamabad for Karachi at 10am and is expected to touch down at Quaid-i-Azam International Airport at 11:50am.

Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry is going to Karachi on Saturday to address the Sindh High Court Bar in connection with the 50th anniversary of the Supreme Court.

All political parties, including those in the opposition and ruling coalition, are planning to hold their respective rallies in the city on that day prompting fear of clashes.

According to the Met Office, the maximum temperature in Islamabad on May 12 would be 37 and minimum 34.

The weather would be partly cloudy and light rain is expected.

In Karachi, it will be a hot sunny day. The maximum temperature would be 39 and the minimum 37.

However, it would become partly cloudy in the afternoon.

The Sindh government on Wednesday had requested Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry to postpone his planned visit to Karachi in public interest, claiming that there were intelligence reports of a possibility of terrorist attack on the chief justice.
