OKARA, May 11: The Anjuman-i-Mazareen Punjab has alleged that ‘some forces’ have illegally occupied squares of military farm land after constructing check posts which must be abolished forthwith.
The AMP leders, who assembled at a public meeting attended by hundreds of tenants at Chak 15/4-L where the tenants and the farm administration have been under tension for the last three days over the construction of boundary wall, described the situation as a conspiracy to create further unrest in the country.
“We are peaceful and do not force us to launch agitation as we do not want the policy of clash,” they sent a message, and demanded abolition of the check post on the lands they said they had been cultivating for long.
