KARACHI: Varsities report 20 buses ‘missing’

By Meera Jamal

KARACHI, May 11: Twenty buses of various varsities in the city have been reported missing, in some cases along with the drivers, a day prior to the much-hyped rallies to be taken out on Saturday.

These buses left their respective campuses at 12.30pm for their destinations but never returned. Out of the total number of buses that went missing, 11 belonged to the KU, seven to the NED university, and one each of the DMC and the IBA.

Keeping the situation in view, Karachi University and Federal Urdu University have decided to postpone the exams scheduled for May 12.

HOLIDAY: On the governor’s directives, the education department announced that all educational institutions in the city would remain closed on May 12.

The exams scheduled for Saturday would be rescheduled later, according to authorities.

Meanwhile, the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education also postponed HSSC English Paper-II and SSC Physics practical exams scheduled for May 12 in Karachi and Islamabad centres.
