May 12 rallyto be victory of democratic forces: PML

PESHAWAR, May 10: Federal Minister for Political Affairs and provincial president of PML Amir Muqam has said the PML rally on May 12 will prove to be the victory of democratic forces of the country.

"People want continuation of President Musharraf's policies as they have rejected those politicians who remained at the helm of affairs but failed to deliver the goods during their tenure," the federal minister claimed.

Talking to various delegations of PML, MPAs, Nazims and workers drawn from various parts of the province at his residence, he said that policies of only the present government could guarantee a prosperous and developed Pakistan.

Mr Amir said that the PML had always rendered matchless sacrifices for the country's solidarity and promotion of democracy and even today it was actively engaged in efforts under the leadership of President Musharraf to further improve the image of the country in the world.

On May 12, he said, the PML and its allied parties would practically demonstrate their unflinching support to the president by taking out a huge procession for the supremacy of judiciary, adding that the rally would put the last nail in the coffin of what he called anti-state forces.
