MQM leader criticises attack

KARACHI, May 10: Muttahida Qaumi Movement has condemned the firing at the home of Supreme Court Bar Association president Munir A. Malik and urged the government to arrest the attackers.

In a statement released from London on Thursday, MQM Convenor Dr Imran Farooq said the MQM always felt that constitutional and legal matters should be restricted to courts and one should not try to give these a political colour. Otherwise, he added, armed terrorists and anti-state elements could take advantage of the situation.

He expressed sympathy with Mr Malik and his family over the incident.
