PESHAWAR: Pesco seeks shopkeepers’ help

PESHAWAR, May 10: The Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) has asked commercial consumers to cooperate with the public utility by closing down their shops and business centres by 8pm as announced by the federal government.

In a statement issued here on Thursday, a Pesco spokesman said that commercial consumers, especially shopkeepers, could play their role in this national service by closing down their shops, markets and plazas by 8pm and conserve the energy during peak hours.

The spokesman said that the cooperation of commercial consumers would enable Pesco to overcome load-shedding and ensure uninterrupted power supply to residential areas.—Bureau
