FAISALABAD, May 9: Teachers belonging to state-run schools of the district held a one-day hunger strike camp outside the MC High School on Kotwali Road on Wednesday.
The participants demanded immediate end to contract system and abolition of monitoring committees. They urged the government to pay teaching allowance, grant them promotions and resolve other issues as promised by it.
The hunger strike camp started at 10am and terminated four hours later.
