Man killed in accident

ISLAMABAD, May 9: A man was killed after being hit by a speeding vehicle here on Wednesday, police said. Bashir Gill, a sanitary worker at Naval Complex, was riding on his bicycle when he was hit by a car (KY-854) near Shaheen Chowk. The injured man was shifted to the hospital where he died. Later the body was shifted to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) for legal process.

The car driver managed to escape from the scene leaving the vehicle behind. The police impounded the car, and during investigation it was revealed that it had been acquired on rent. The police have registered a case and started investigation.
