KARACHI, May 8: Boxers from all over the country will take part in the National Ranking Boxing Championship getting underway from Saturday here at the National Sports Training and Coaching Centre.

The Pakistan Boxing Federation (PBF) in collaboration with the Pakistan Sports Board will be organising the three-day competition, a senior PBF official said on Tuesday.

Pugilists who took part in the last month's National Games have been invited for the championship that will feature events of different weight categories, the official added.

He said the event would also help in selecting the boxers for a three-month drill in Cuba for preparations of next year's Beijing Olympics.—PPI
