KARACHI, May 7: A bomb hoax at the Bin Qasim power station led to its evacuation and search on Monday.

“We asked the workforce to vacate the place but some of them remained at work as the plant could not be closed down,” Bin Qasim Town Police Officer Aleem Jafri said.

The police were informed by officials of the Karachi Electricity Supply Corporation that an anonymous caller warned them that a bomb had been placed in the plant which was about to explode.
