KARACHI, May 5: The Sindh Minister for Local Government, Katchi Abadis and Spatial Development, Mohammad Hussain Khan has ordered immediate regularisation and provision of lease to Bhutta Village, a 40-year-old katchi abadi of Keamari Town.
Speaking at an open kutchehry in Okhai Colony UC-3, Keamari Town, he directed the officials concerned to provide ownership rights to the residence of Bhutta Village without any delay.
The minister also ordered survey of all katchi abadis of Keamari Town so as to evaluate their status for provision of lease. He also said that the amount generated from lease would be spent on various uplift projects of the areas.
Mr Khan refuted the baseless allegations that katchi abadis of some linguistic groups were being targeted deliberately to harm them.
He said that this perception had been spread by those defeated elements who believed in dividing masses on the basis of religion, language, caste and sects.
On the complaints of scarcity of water and its illegal sale, he directed XEN KWSB to immediately remove the concerned valve-man and improve water supply situation.—PPI
