KARACHI, May 5: Three ships carrying containers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships -- Corin Thaikos to unload and load containers, Pacific Arrow to load cement, Safinas to unload and load general cargo and Swat, to offload crude oil -- were berthed on Saturday.

Five ships Star-1, Simon, Perseas Primar, J. Friend and Voyager departed on Saturday while Union Four, Oel Victory, Swat, Kuo Chang, Nordwoge and Vetran are due to sail out on Sunday.

A total tonnage of 76,681 tons of cargo, comprising 28,48 tons of export cargo, including 7,814 tons of cement and 1,231 tons of wheat and 48,633 tons of import tonnage, was handled on Saturday.

The following ships are due on Sunday: Asante, Calvin P. Titus, and Madina Star, all with containers.
