No immediate plan to ban Houbara hunting: Kasuri

ISLAMABAD, May 2: There is no immediate government plan to ban Arab dignitaries from hunting the Houbara bustard, an endangered migratory bird, according to Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri.

This was stated in a written reply submitted to the National Assembly by the foreign minister here on Wednesday. He said that there was no plan to ban the bird’s hunting for at least two years and that the government knew about its status of an endangered species. —Staff Reporter
