SUKKUR, May 2: A woman and a girl died and 25 other people were hospitalised following an outbreak of gastroenteritis in Saleh Patt taluka near here on Wednesday.

Reports reaching here said that a 30-year-old Ms Soomrani and a five-year-old Aiysha died of gastroenteritis in the taluka while more than two dozen people were admitted to different hospitals complaining of the disease.

TWO KILLED: Two men were gunned down at Sukkur Bypass near here on Wednesday over old enmity.

Reports reaching here said that 25-year-old Majid Ali Surhiyani and 3-year-old Aslam Surhiyani were waiting for a bus at the Sukkur Bypass when some unknown armed men opened fire on them killing them on the spot. The assailants later managed to flee.

Both the deceased belonged to Kandhkot. The motive behind the double murder was said to be an old enmity.—PPI
