LAHORE, May 1: Sixth express train will start running between Lahore and Rawalpindi daily from May 3.

Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmad will formal inaugurate the Rawalpindi Express at the Rawalpindi railway station, said railway officials at its headquarters here on Tuesday.

At present, two non-stop and three express trains operate between Lahore and Rawalpindi and vice versa.

From Lahore, Subak Raftar (101-up) leaves at 7:45am, Subak Kharam (103-up) at 4:30pm, Rawal Express (105-up) at 12:30am, Islamabad non-stop (107-up) at 7am and Margalla Express (109-up) at 6:15pm.

From Rawalpindi, Subak Raftar (102-Down) leaves at 4:30pm, Subak Kharam (104-Down) at 7:30am, Rawal Express (106-Down) at 12:30am, Lahore non-stop (108-Down) at 6pm and Margalla Express (110-Down) at 7am.

The train will have four economy, one each lower AC parlour class coaches besides a power and a brake van.
