No handshake

ANKARA: President Pervez Musharraf and Afghan President Karzai, who traded harsh accusations ahead of the meeting, including the Pakistani president calling his Afghan counterpart a “liar”, did not shake hands as they appeared before the media.

Instead, they stood on either side of Turkish President Ahmet Necdet Sezer, who held and raised their hands as they posed for photographers, joined by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who also attended the talks. They did not speak to the press and did not take questions.—AFP
