QUETTA, April 30: All Pakistan Minorities Alliance Secretary-General Michael Javaid has criticised registration of “biased cases” against people of minority communities and warned that they would not tolerate the discrimination or victimisation.

Speaking at a press conference at the local press club on Monday, he claimed that minorities had played a vital role in the establishment of Pakistan, saying the father of the nation Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah had included white colour in the national flag in recognition of minorities’ rights.

He said that the father of the nation in his historical address to the first Legislation Assembly on August 11, 1947, had declared that Pakistan would not be a theocratic state and all citizens, including the minorities, would have equal rights and religious freedom.

He presented a 43-point charter of demands that include withdrawal of the presidential reference against the chief justice of Pakistan.
