HYDERABAD, April 30: ASI Danish Qureshi who was seriously injured in a scuffle on Friday in the jurisdiction of Makki Shah police station died on Sunday. No case was lodged with the police by his family.

The ASI himself was an accused in the murder case of one Khuda Bux son of Rasool Bux who died in aerial firing in a marriage ceremony in Makrani Para the same day.

Rasool Bux father of Khuda Bux while addressing a press conference at the press club said that the ASI Danish Qureshi, Neseem Pathan and Nasir, on April 27, intruded in a marriage party and started aerial firing to which everyone objected. They instead continued firing resulting in the death of Khuda Bux and injuries to Asif s/o Muhammad Ishaque. Rasool Bux is unaware of who thrashed ASI Danish of Hyderabad police and a mechanic Naseem Pathan who were admitted to the Civil Hospital where according to Makki police Danish breathed his last on Sunday night while Naseem had been remanded to judicial custody.

Nasir, the third accused managed to make his escape good, he said. Rasool Bux is now getting life threats for which he sought protection from police and authorities.
