KARACHI, April 30: The Sindh government has released an additional amount of over Rs2.26 billion to the district governments.

This additional grant will help in early completion of uplift projects being implemented in all the districts of the province to bring relief to the masses.

The grant will be distributed among 23 districts of the province in accordance to the formula of provincial financial award.

According to a press release, the fund has been released by the finance department on the advice of Sindh Finance Adviser M.A. Jalil.

Earlier, nazims of various districts had held a meeting with the finance adviser and apprised him of the difficulties being faced by them for want of funds in completion of the on-going uplift programmes in their respective districts.
