KARACHI, April 30: Six ships carrying containers and to load ethanol and naphtha are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.
Over a dozen ships were berthed during the last two days mostly to unload and load containers Zara-5 to load cement and Sea Veteran to offload fertiliser were berthed after the departure of 10, which also included Iran Tabbatabaei, Oel Express, Wan Hai-315, Raya, Johar and Chemstar Brave.
Four ships, Sea Princess, Iran Hesabi, Kota Gumawan and Nordtide are due to sail out on Tuesday.
A total tonnage of 0.182m tons comprising 57,167 tons of export cargo including 7,825 tons of rice, 10,977 tons of cement and 2,059 tons of wheat and 0.127m tons of import cargo was handled.
The following ships are due on Tuesday: Lalazar with crude oil, Star-1 to load ethanol, Peterpaul to load naphtha, APL Shenzhen, Kota Perlasa and Y.M. Faha with containers.
The following are due on Tuesday: Hyundai Sprinter, Mac Andrews, Y.M. Moon with containers, Tarpon Santiago with rock phosphate and Beluga Fascination with general cargo.
