KARACHI, April 22: Tractor trolleys were distributed among five union councils of Liaquatabad Town on Sunday at a ceremony addressed by City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal.
He said that the town and union council administrations are being strengthened financially and administratively in order to enable grass roots level organisations to play their role in resolving basic problems of the public.
The nazim said that 25 per cent from the KWSB’s income is being diverted directly to these organisations, while for the first time machinery worth billions of rupees is being distributed at the union council level.
Mustafa Kamal said that a grid station is being installed for Liaquatabad Town that would be operational from May 15, after which there would be a visible difference in the electricity supply system.
The city nazim said that Liaquatabad would be the next business hub for Pakistan and all planning has been done in this regard.—PPI
