KARACHI, April 21: Seven ships carrying palm oil and containers are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was active where eight ships, Caribbean Carrier to load cement, Huyutec to load clinkers, Global Union to offload soyabean oil, Andino Park to load ethanol, Prita Dewi to offload chemicals, Nazli-G to unload DAP fertiliser, Chin Feng Kuo and Cosmic Challenger to unload and load general cargo were accommodated berths.
Five ships Comorin Pride, APL Orchid, Sinar Agra, Prita Dewi, Red Sea Spirit, departed on Saturday, while Global Union, Oel Victory, Bunga Delima, Cosmic Challenger and Iran Sattari are due to sail out on Sunday.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was modest where a total tonnage of only 30,892 tons comprising 18,973 tons of export cargo including 4,503 tons of rice, 3,247 tons of cement and 3,188 tons of clinkers and 11,919 tons of import tonnage was handled on Saturday.
The following ships are due on Sunday: Pegasus-7 with 8,000 tons of palm oil, Swat with crude oil, Wadi Al-Rayan, Ever Govern, AKA Bhum, Sinar Bali with containers and Song Shan with general cargo.
The following vessels are due on Monday: Hayley Nadhi, Wan Hai-303 and Corin Thaikos with containers.
