SIALKOT, April 20: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has planned to take money back from the beneficiaries of Double Shah’s scheme, Dawn has learnt.

Official sources said NAB had collected information about those people who had got their deposits doubled (and withdrew the amount) from Wazirabad-based Double Shah.

NAB collected information from Double Shah, his agents and other record seized from them. Officials said NAB would soon launch a recovery campaign against Double Shah’s clients.

The news about the yet-be-launched recovery campaign has panicked all the successful clients of Shah.

Also, scores of his clients approached police stations in Sialkot to collect forms to submit their claims to NAB. Over 500 clients have deposited their claims to police.

Moreover, Punjab Public Accounts Committee Chairman Azeem Noori Ghuman has invited all the agents and clients of Double Shah to outhouse for settlement of the issue.

He said, “No police or NAB team will arrest Double Shah’s agents if they come to me.”

Bambaanwala police registered a case against Waris Ali from Wassankey, who made an announcement of mosque’s loudspeakers instigating Double Shah’s clients to stage a protest demonstration against the arrest of the Double Shah.
