KARACHI, April 10: Four ships carrying containers, crude oil and furnace oil were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, six more ships scheduled to load/offload containers, cement, furnace oil, chemicals and iron ore also arrived at the outer anchorage.

A total of seven ships, Grasmere Maersk, Don Glovannni, Berenice, Aleslevada, Pacificator, Stell and Carl Masem, were busy in loading and unloading various commodities.

A record cargo volume of 0.112 million tons comprising 90,000 tons of import and 22,000 tons of export cargo was handled.

Sailings were active as six ships left the port.
