LARKANA, April 7: Speakers at a seminar held here on Saturday on ‘Sorih Badshah’ were unanimous over re-writing the history of Hur Movement. Comrade Sobho Gianchandani, Dr Dur Mohammad Pathan, Syed Siraj Rashdi, Dr Syed Mehboob Shah and others spoke on the occasion.

They said Sorih Badshah was not only the leader of Hurs but he was the hero of Sindh and criticised the historians for their non-serious attitude towards the history of the time.

The historians had deliberately pushed Hur Movement into the background and contributed nothing but deceived Sindhis.

The English rulers through imposition of Martial Law had not only crossed all limits of humanity and crushed the values of decency but also made them slaves.

He was the Sorih Badshah who, with unshaken commitment and conviction, fought against them and with his blood wrote a new history. The historian of that time had submitted and tilted towards rulers’ will while writing history and now is the time to pen down the history of truth, the speakers maintained.

Speaking on the occasion, Mohammad Ibrahim Soomro of Bazm-i-Asghar disclosed that soon under the supervision of Comrade Sobho Gianchandani and Dr Dur Mohammed Pathan, an authentic book covering the ‘Hur Movement’ would be launched along with the contribution of Pagaro family.

Ghulam Siddique Bhutto, Hafiz Dur Mohammed Shero, Atta Mohammed Hur and others also spoke in the seminar.
