Doctor suspended for negligence

NAWABSHAH, April 7: A surgeon of the Nawabshah Medical College Hospital was suspended on the directive of Sindh Senior Minister Syed Sardar Ahmed after death of a child in the hospital on Saturday.

Principal of the Nawabshah Medical College, Prof Ali Akbar Ghumro said that the senior minister had taken notice of death of a child Fayyaz Dahri 7, in paediatrics surgery ward of NMC hospital and ordered suspension of Dr Bashir Ahmed Soomro.

He further said that he received these directives on telephone and relieved the professor.

Fayyaz Dahri, son of Hassan Dahri, was suffering from intestinal perforation and expired in the hospital after operation allegedly due to negligence of doctors.

ATTACKED: Armed men attacked Allah Jurio Rind village near Doulatpur, kidnapped two people and later tortured journalists, on Saturday.

The armed men’s gang attacked Allah Jurio Rind village in the jurisdiction of Pubjo police station and burnt wheat crop. They resorted to aerial firing and kidnapped Mohammad Yamin Rind and Mohammad Aslam Rind and fled.

Ali Mohammad Shah, a reporter of a private Sindhi news channel along with cameraman Talib Rind, reached the spot and when they were interviewing the villagers, armed men again appeared on the scene and thrashed them and vanished along with the recording equipment.
